'SAD' experience
i was barely 16 years old when i came to Aligarh first. i remember attending the first english class at the girls plus two school where our first assignment was to write a brief introductory essay about ourselves. i ended my essay by hoping and writing that my stay at Aligarh would be a pleasant experience.that did not happen and that is why i have named my blog "the SAD Aligarh experience".

Respected Sad Soul,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to address you, in this manner but I am helpless as your blog does not give any clue about you name or profile.
Anyways, As you say the dress is a matter of choice for a person and there should be no pressure on anyone what wear or not to wear.
Let me tell you that choosing the University to study is also a matter of personal preference. If you has so much of problems with Aligarh, why did you not leave and head towards any other college of your choice where the liberty provided was better and there were no restrictions, like these, and the things were ONLY YOUR WAY. You are telling after you have sneakily used Aligarh with all its facilities and its resources. Its people like you who eat all the pulp of a mango and complain of the shell inside. Don't try to malign the image of a great institution just because of petty matters.
Ah well! May I remind you that we live in a secular nation and are guaranteed some basic rights under the Constitution and not in some bloody theocratic state; not yet at least!
ReplyDeleteOh! and also, you do not fund Aligarh Muslim University; the University has a 200 crore plus budget which is public money. I haven't 'sneakily used' the facilities of AMU. I claimed and used them as a matter of right!
Sadly, for your narrow conservative pea brain, you will never be able to comprehend this !
